Place Stanislas

Place Stanislas is located 1.5km from the hotel La Résidence.

Built in 1755, it is considered to be the most beautiful royal square in Europe and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  

Built by Emmanuel Héré, it is surrounded by finely crafted gates embellished with gold, made by the ironworker Jean Lamour, and majestic fountains designed by Barthélémy Guibal. The Town Hall, the Opera-Theatre and the Fine Arts Museum occupy this square.
